But you don't have fund to design the DAS first...

Carrier-Grade DAS

What do you do? Your boss still wants you to come up with a budgetary number.

At the beginning of the project, all variables are not known, but you still need some kind of budget that you can work with. Hence the phrase, “Rough Order Magnitude” pricing!

ROM (Rough Order Magnitude) process allows you to come up with a budget in a short time

ROM Process is a financial model to come up with price of DAS

ROM process allows you to come up with a budget in a relatively short period of time for a large DAS project. If configured properly it’s possible to get a following benefits out of it.

1. Develop a budget for DAS which can cover initial site surveys all the way to installation, commissioning and turn-up.

2.  Level the bidding field: Compare costs between multiple vendors & suppliers fairly, and get a peace of mind. Cheapest option may not be most appealing, and at the same time DAS with most feature-sets may not seem worth the price.

3. You can short-list or even select the vendors and suppliers to deploy DAS. Keep in mind, pricing is not the only factor to select a DAS platform or vendor(s).
